Many companies employ project managers and the cost of their salaries will have to be included in the prices passed on to you – we do not employ project managers as our staff are all highly trained, experienced, and will fit your bathroom to your exacting requirements.

The installation of a walk in bath is generally very simple. We take out and dispose of your existing bath and slot in a replacement walk in bath.

In most cases the height of the new bath is more than the one being replaced so the tiles are not affected and we seal the new bath against your existing tiles.

If the new bath is shorter than your existing one, we box in the gap using an accessory extension box which is made of the same material as the bath to give a nice finish.

Thermostatically Controlled Mixer Tap as Standard

We always supply a thermostatically controlled mixer tap with a walk in bath and this does not present a problem if your boiler system is the modern pumped variety such as a combi. If your system is gravity fed, we may have to install a mini pump which can involve a small extra cost for additional plumbing and electrical work.

The mixer tap also has a shower attachment and we supply a shower curtain and rail as standard.

You may decide to fit a more substantial shower over the bath and use it whilst standing in the floor well of the bath. This dual purpose facility is very useful when there are other persons in the house who prefer to shower.

Our Walk In Baths Prices Including supply and Installation

The typical cost of a simple slot-in replacement walk in bath is around £3,295.00 depending on the model you choose. This includes the full installation, the removal of the old bath, a thermostatically controlled mixer tap, supply and fit of a shower curtain and rail, full guarantee and after sales care.

Hydrotherpay Spa Option

Should you choose to have a hydrotherapy spa option included this will typically add an extra £300 to the cost of your walk in bath.

One Day Installation

Once you have considered this and given us the go ahead, we will aim to complete the installation in one day ensuring minimal disruption.

The Little Gem uses TMV3 Valves to Thermostatically control the water temperature

The little gem walk in bath comes with a TMV3 blending valve which thermostatically controls the water to a pre-set temperature. This vital safety feature, ensures that the water always remains at a safe temperature.  This is especially important  when considering that the user must remain seated in the bath whilst it is filling. In addition it also helps to control the temperature whilst showering or washing your hair.

The administrators of Homeform (The owners of Dolphin Bathrooms, Moben, & Kitchens Direct) have announced that some 453 customers are set to lose a total of £1.5 million in deposit money.

Below is advice from the Creditors (Source BBC website):

1)      Customers who used cards or finance agreements should contact the provider. Under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, purchases from £100 –  £30,000 are protected should a company decide to enter administration after you’ve placed an order.

2)      Customers who have had goods delivered but whose fitting has not been completed will be contacted in the next five to 10 days to arrange to have their fitting completed

3)      Moben, Dolphin and Kitchens Direct customers who have paid a deposit but have not received a delivery should contact their card provider, finance provider or the customer helpline on 0800 840 0118.

4)      Customers who did not pay with a card or finance agreement can write to the administrators at Deloitte LLP, Athene Place, 66 Shoe Lane, London EC4A 3WA but “are unlikely to receive a refund” unless the remaining Homeform businesses are sold

Wet room showers are available in a large range of sizes. They can be fitted to replace an existing bath or shower area, or, alternatively, they can easily be fitted into smaller areas such as a small cloakroom or toilet area where it wouldn’t be possible to fit an enclosed shower tray. If the wet room is to be fitted into an area without existing drainage then a pump would need to be fitted to pump the waste water away to a drainage point.

A level access shower is a shower tray with a very low threshold tray making them ideal for those with poor mobility, the disabled and wheelchair users. The entrance threshold does vary slightly between manufacturers but is typically below 10mm. Level access showers are available in a range of sizes but are normally either corner or full length cubicles. In most cases they will fit where the bath was and can therefore use the existing drainage system. However, in some cases the level access shower may be fitted in an area where there isn’t an existing drainage system in place, in this case a pump would be required to pump the waste water along to a drainage point.

In order to prevent water spilling from the level access shower most people choose to have shower doors fitted. These can be either full or half height shower enclosures, depending on preference, which enclose the shower tray to create a watertight seal.

Low access showers provide a safe and practical solution when bathing starts to become difficult. They have a low threshold entry making them ideal for those with limited or restricted mobility. With low access showers the tray is placed above ground, meaning there is a small step to negotiate, however the step is much lower than a standard shower tray or bath. Due to the tray being slightly raised the person must have sufficient levels of balance and mobility to safely step over this, otherwise a level access shower or wet room shower may be the best option.
